Howard Hurtt knew that writing was his calling when, in third grade, he discovered that he would rather write science fiction than do school work. He holds a BA from CSU Sacramento and MA from CSU Fresno. Hurtt has worked as an aerospace technical writer, field biologist, and rehabilitation technologist, and has taught biology, general science, communication technology, and English language development.
Mr. Hurtt is a writer of poetry, fiction, lyrics, and scientific and technical works. His large editorial collaborations include a restaurateur's memoir, a travel book, a medical thriller, and an extensive collection of short stories by Joe Hemphill, an important author in the disability community. He has edited several thousand shorter documents for business and entertainment.
